How were the dx range of deutz tractors, good, bad, etc. this would also include the 6000 range of intracs. Did they all have transmission problems or were it partial due to operators.

Over here, they say : DX 6.30 and smaller is good, the bigger ones have a lot transmission problems.

Ah the good times with real Deutzs...
Here in my town a lot of DX, most of the 6.10 and 6.05 and some 4.50, all of them very reliable, most of them with a lot of hours.
I have a DX6.05 of 1991, a very good tractor, good pulling and low consumption... A little lack of hidraulics, as we see now, but normal for their age... Mine has a mechanical trans 15/5 very usefull with a change of direction with clutch but in line the two groups...
My cousin had a DX4.50 he changed it to a Mc Cormick MC90, but really satisfacted with it, changed with 11000 hous none problems...
Other cousin DX6.10 still using, he don't think to change it until now...
Very good tractors...
If you are looking for one it could be a good option... My decision will be a DX4.50 DX6.05 or DX6.10, the old DX90 seems not so good, never seen any, the big ones none still using, maybe too much HP for their tranny...

I think so, the ZF in the Fendt 600 series had also this outfit, mechanical hi/lo with the reverse aligned with the hi. Giving the same speed range forward/reverse, but just a half smaller steps forward.
