This is the code name for new big Claas combine. From what I can gather 1,000hp engine. 120tph. Single rotor concept. A prototype is already built and under going tests.
Cannot reveal too much more at this stage but there is something in the pipeline. What's more, this concerns a realy big combine. Not a dressed up 580.
By the way, I gather that Claas has dumped CAT telehandlers in favour of Kramer.

The X4 was our prototype name for the Lexion 600, officially launched last Friday following 3 seasons testing on estates in Essex and eastern Germany. Up to 93 tonnes per hour in wheat this evening in Lincs, 84 yesterday evening in Suffolk and over 70 last week in Beds and Norfolk. We have a bottle of schnapps up for grabs for the driver of any one of the 5 machines currently in the UK who hits the 100tph mark, which we expect will be possible next week as crops dry out and become easier to thresh. 500 tonnes of wheat in the barn, daily harvest average, 12 hr days. We have not tested a single rotor machine since pre-Lexion 480 days, when we tried a number of different ideas to find the best for European conditions. We have no plans for a bigger combine since there is no header available bigger than 30' (9.12m). At over 8kph in a Lexion 600 with a 30' header, who can drive a combine any faster? Who would want to? Think about the logistics of 60 to 80 tph...... 100 tph is like Mach 1 status. Hopefully such a landmark will not go unnoticed. I for one like these extreme records (24 h plowing etc.) although it may be out of reach for practical farming unless given extrodinary situations.

Agree abut the logistics side of things - at that output we used 2 44t artics and 4 16t grain trailers plus a 22t chaser bin to get the grain 15 miles home and they were all pretty busy !
