Anyone tried a chipped Claas 850 with an 8 row rotary head? If so, what kind of performance can be expected and does it need to be counterweighted?

Yes it needs weights on the back. IT does on a 900 so im sure it does with the inline

Advice,
I transported a 8 row kemper header with the 850 last week and only had half the weights on the back that the 900 has (couldn't get any more), it wasn't too bad, just a little bouncy from time to time. I'm sure the RU600 will need the whole stack. Plan on testing both this fall if possible, it may be too much header for a chipped 850.

The 900 is manageable if you don't stop fast and keep the head low. But if you are driving the machine from field to field the you need at least 3 of the weights back there. Around 5 would be the best IMO.

Is anyone setting the tires out for maximum width with the 8row headers? Even with the big tires ? Stability during hillside operation is an issue. If so, have you noticed a difference?
