Looking at a Claas Disco 3000 with rollers. It is in very good shape. What,s the pros and cons. How well do the Claas cutter bars hold up and what kind of gear protection do they have. Thanks

I have mostly claas hay equipment except the mower cause I wanted one bigger than a 9' cut. I had run a couple of claas mowers and really liked them. the bar protection and head floatation for rocks is the best on the market that I have seen or run. I would suggest the gyro hitch, very nice. I personally liked the impellors over the rollers. The claas seemed to have a lot more adjustability over other brands. I think you will be very happy with the machine..donny

It's not a Claas cutterbar, it's built by Comer in Italy. Claas mowers do not seem to cut as well in thin hay crops (ie. 2nd cut) as many of the other mowers on the market. Personally, I would suggest either Poettinger, Krone, or Elho.
Not saying the Claas isn't well built, just from experience that there are cleaner cutting mowers out there.
