HPP.
I've got a 1990 320i Touring for last 6 years.
For what it is and what it cost, its the best car I've ever had. Costs about €1K per year to maintain.
It is also a timeless design. It still looks special and turns heads.
On the machinery front:
David Brown 1412 - back end couldn't cope with power. Anything made in Doncaster. Massey 290 John Deere hfwd system. (Did it ever work?)

Well SPN, I´m glad to hear that you´re satisfied with your BMW. I agree, it´s a nice looking car, that´s actually why I bought mine. Always said afterwards that I bought the car with my heart and not with my brain. Maybe I´m just being unlucky, maybe my car was built on a monday, I don´t know. This one has cost me around 5.500 Euro in around 2,5 years, repair! Still, well kept it´s a beautiful car. Mine isn´t any more. I´ve lost the urge to keep it nice.

Had a 320 d for about 3 years. Nice car but afterwards it was the most exspensive car I ever had. Not much repairs but its value after 3 years was very low and parts for service are really exspensive. I went back to Renault and I am happy with it.

I think the worst machine what i have had were Fahr MDL combine,it were from year 1964 or near. When this one gome to our use it was old,too old but cheap. After one year we change it to Fahr 66,which was more better.MDL were very complicated machine.I must say that i like Fahr/Deutz-Fahr combines, they are reliable machines expect this MDL.

Hi guys, I see a posting from Pudding that Deere and New Holland parts warehousing for New Zealand is Australian based. Not so for New Holland. The NH brand has been imported by the Norwood group since 1985 and they operate a major Ag parts warehouse in Palmerston North. All dealers are computer-linked to the company's IBM AS/400 for online parts systems. Check out www.norwood.co.nz (currently being upgraded for new New Holland products.) Cheers
