Hi, We have a Zetor 5245, and I used it last year to dig out about 90 m 3 of earth with 1.2 m 3 bucket, to clean up the mess caused by temporary pigsties during foot-and-mouth-disease crisis. Replaced mud/manure with dry sand dug out in the bush Because this is quite rough work, even for a Zetor , i have quite some play in the differential. (reverse in low gear range at 3 km/h, together with using the oil pump to lift the bucket, it could'nt get over 1,800 engine rpm sometimes) I think the small shaft (the one that flips over)is worn because of too much slip of one wheel under heavy load. (i have seen the same thing on a Fendt 305 last week) Would it be this little shaft, or would it be the crown/pinion drive?? would the use of the differential lock prevent this in the future?? i have absolutely no signs of metal wear in the oil of the final drive.
