Hey Lee,
A couple of weeks ago you had a query about JD pricing in Ireland.
I've just found my 2002 list prices. Any comparisons you want?
Here's a selection, and I'm using the price for the lowest spec of the model.
105hp Class
Case MX110 €64K JD 6510SE €61K JD 6520 €75K Deutz Agrotron 115 €77K Fendt 711 Vario €103K MF6265 €64K McC MC110 €59K NH TS115 €49K NH TM115 €56K Valmet Hi-Tech 6750 €70K
More on request.

So in UK pounds that is:
Case MX110 £40K JD 6510SE £38K JD 6520 £47K Deutz Agrotron 115 £48K Fendt 711 Vario £65K MF6265 £40K McC MC110 £37K NH TS115 £31K NH TM115 £35K Valmet Hi-Tech 6750 £44K
Well they are all obviously retail prices so we should be looking at another 15% at the very least, so that puts the prices at:
Case MX110 £34K JD 6510SE £32K JD 6520 £40K Deutz Agrotron 115 £41K Fendt 711 Vario £55K MF6265 £34K McC MC110 £31K NH TS115 £26K NH TM115 £30K Valmet Hi-Tech 6750 £37K
I would still say that the irish prices are quite expensive as I am pretty sure you can get a Case MX135 for £35K which means the MX110 should be less than £30K.
But I have only removed 15% off the retail price which is probably not enough as Case for definate removed up to 40% for us in previous years. So it would probably work out that Irish prices we cheaper.
So now the question is how much would it cost to get it over the water on a boat?
Import duty cost Transport prices VAT rate
etc etc
Lee :-)

Interesting price differentiation there.
Over here except for Fendt being the highest priced and Valtra the lowest of the bunch. The others are pretty close to each other on pricing. The McC tractors are being sold at the same prices as the CIH counterparts. Deere is the one that is usually a tad bit more than the rest though, but not by much.

Cheers simon,
So really I should of removed about 30% instead of 15%. Thought I was being a bit over careful when I wrote it.
So that would put the fendt still at £45,500 which I would of thought is quite expensive really.
I think we can conclude from this that there would be very little point in buying in Ireland and shipping to England and vice versa, unless the euro/pound exchange rate got bette ror worse depending on which side you on.
