Thanks Laapa! That´s what I call news. I do think that´s a real picture. Of course the new 100-180 hp Valtra range. The cab looks like the old Valtra cab we all know but it does not mean Valtra is keeping that cab. The bonnet is well sculpted and proportionally longer than the S Series body. In the following days I´ll try to find more pictures...

Interesting,I'd say that would be the mid size(possibly called "T") series. The replacement for the HiTech I guess? There is also suspose to be a smaller sized (possibly called"L") series, but I'm not sure if it will replace the M100 or not.
What is very interesting also is that it is not in Valmet red!!

European, why do you think this is not a real picture. Looks very good to me. Is it taken from a brochure? It sure seems that way. What i don't understand is why someone would like to ruin a picture like they did.
And Woodbeef, i sure would think you know more about this new series. Are you able to find some more pictures?

It reminds me of a Landini - which you get over here in the UK. Its the same colour blue as well.
Has valtra and landini got a deal going?

It does look like a professional picture, but not from Valtra I'd say. More from the implement manufacturer.
O.K. now what kind of implement is it pulling? To my pea-brain it looks like some type of seeder with the hopper on the front, and a delivery tube going along the left side of the tractor. If it is also a new piece of machinery then that might explain the butchering of the picture. So any ideas?
Boss....the info on these are very very scant at this time. Nothing like the S series long intro!!
The blue is Valtra Blue Metallic, not the lighter Landini blue. No ties between the two that I know of!!

The tekst under the picture says
Subject: New valtra 120 ch Description: Nouveau valtra valmet
"Nouveau" is French, and means "new". "ch" is short for "cheveaux", what means "horses"
when translated: Subject: New valtra 120 hp Description: New valtra valmet

Webmaster, why do you think I think that is not a real picture? (I´m getting dizzy ). Of course, it is a real picture. I just meant that could be a testing model. I hoped Valtra would launch a new model with a completely new cab. The tractor in the picture has the typical Valtra cab. It seems another case of let´s-keep-the-cab-frame-and-restyle-it-with-a-new-roof-and-interior (like new Case MXM, John Deere 6020 and 8020,...). Fair enough. That cab is a good example of ergonomics. But I would like to see a new one, anyway. Two years and a half have gone since Valtra showed the first prototype of the S Series. I hope we can see these new Series ploughing in a shorter time... I have been digging in the net, but I haven´t found anything... Woodbeef, surprise us please ;D

Hi ya's haveing a bit of a look at it ,the cab is a bit diffrent inside ,not like the S tho ..only thing i find hard to take is the tires!! the tractor looks like showroom but the tires have been around the block a few times ie the front look 1/3-1/2 wear on them..also with this new shape where is the motor going in the new valtras ?? they are going to have to move it back or crowd the cooling area both dumb moves .. catch ya JD Kid

The censorshipbeast strikes again! Have you read the message over at www.farmphoto.com? Editor Stu Pocknee deleted the picture of the new Valtra because Niskanen of Valtra ordered him to. This is the message Pocknee wrote. He posted it together with some postings of the 24 hour seeding-thing. 'These photos were sent to me by Hannu Niskanen at Valtra. He had asked me to remove a leaked Valtra photo posted earlier at farmphoto of a Valtra prototype. I had no problems doing this (see the FAQ) regardless of whether he sent these new photos but I did think it was rather sporting of him, anyway. He also sent me a story about the photos that I haven't posted in full because I thought it was a little long...'

Hey Boss,
Do you really think that Mr. Pocknee was ordered to remove the picture,by Mr. Niskanen? I'd say asked, was probably more like it. Hannu Niskanen is a good friend of mine, and he does not impress me as the type of person who throws his weight around to get things done!! But I'm also sure that Valtra had their reasons for doing it. What if European is correct in that it is not a final prototype? I could see their point in not wanting an unfinished model out there for all to see, especially if it is only a test mule.
Valtra seems to play it close to the chest when it comes to info on upcoming models, except for the S series of course. Unlike some of the major manufacturers who accidently-on-purpose leak pictures and info about not yet released tractors and equipment.
I grew up in the middle of the auto industry, and saw many, many experimentals running around daily on the expressways and streets of the Detroit area. Some were disguised, some were not. Some were real prototypes, some where fakes ,built just to throw the competition, and media off!! So when it comes to prototypes,I wait for the real thing before I get too excited!!

Woodbeef,
I think you are right about that ordering/asking thing. But what is the worst thing that can happen if someone sees this tractor? Everyone already knew that Valtra is working on new models that will have the looks of the S-series. Well that's proven now...

Hey Boss,
True, you have brought up some good points there!
But also remember that Valtra has a bit different philosophy when it comes to this whole tractor business, especially compared to the majors. Look at the S series and why it has taken so long to be produced. Valtra will not release a tractor series until it is ready for the customer, unlike some other manufacturers!!

I have been contacted by Mr.Niskanen. He stated that at this time he cannot comment on the picture. I am sure this is standard practice for Valtra as well as other manufactures. I agree with Woodbeef , Mr. Niskanen probably asked for the removal of the photo.
