Heips, pudd view for things is maybe different as my...
I have also hauled grain with many tractors and some comments:
My opinion is that if engine power is same level, average speed normally is near same.
i have tested it so that with same trailer,with many different times same road using different tractors,like Case 5130(powershift and manual),case 5150,Winner F115,Case MX120,Valtra 6800,Fiat 80-90,Fiat 85-90,Zetor 8540...
If i compare those 100-115 hp tractors F115,V6800,case 5130.They are very near same level,of course case power shift is most easy handle but speed on the hill is faster with manual version if shifting is in 'hands'.In our condition Valtras 3 ps shifts are enough, some tomes is necessary shift area first and then only ps.
Difference between V6800 and Winner?I think Valtras engine is more 'tight',when load start increase valtra give answer immediatly, maybe because of turbo and intercooler.Winner lost first about 200 r/min and after starts pull...
My feeling is that Valtra is little bit better puller.
Difference between Case 5130 and MX120 and 5150.
5130 is like Winner, first loosing rounds after that pulling start with lot of smoke.5150 and MX120,turbo engines they started like V6800 immediatly when load increase.
After this i have lost my trust to manually aspirated 6 pot engine,my opinion is that turbo versions are really much better.
Last comment, concerning Valtra 8550.I had opportunity drive with 8550 and Bergmann manure spreader. When i started with empty trailer to road, first impression was that 8550 is really effective. It accelerates really fast.Max speed on the road about 55 km/hour...
I know that this tractor is maybe able to pump out about 200 hp,it's really lot for tractor with own weight about 6 ton....
