I'm looking at a Lamborghini Premium 950, 1995 with 3000hrs on it. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor? What to look out for, weaknesses and stuff like that. I'll appreciate any input!
Thanks

This is probably similar to a SAME Silver 100.4 but with the water-cooled engine.
Watch out for slack gear lever linkage, poor synchro, clutch wear, axle pivot wear, PTO operation, engine liner integrity and all the normal things that wear and break. Oh and check the powershift, that it works through all gears. I am not sure if this one will have two or three steps. Some versions will have electronic engine and/or linkage control and check all of this. I don't like SDF,s own elecronic linkage control particularly and the engine speed memories are fine as long as there is some kind of variable hand throttle also fitted. My Same has only the memory buttons and it takes some getting used to but works very well in the field.

thanks for the reply
i went to see and test drive the tractor the other day and was pleasantly surprised. very comfortable and nice to drive compared to what i can get for the same money with other brands.
my only concern is reliability, as i'm not very familiar with lambo tractors.
so what would you guys pick if you had the choice between a 94 MF 3075 with 5500hrs or the 95 lambo premium 950 with 3000hrs? both one farm owner machines and in very good condition.

All other things being equal I would choose on the basis of the availabilty and proximity of a dealer, the reputation of a dealer for keeping things running and, very importantly, the availability of spares from the dealer stock and the same and speed of delivery of spares from the manufacturer.
My experience is that MF are 100% at dealer stock and availability of spares from the manufacturer. SDF have traditionally been very poor in this respect.
It is up to you how much importance you place on this but even the most patient of us can be tested if a part does not turn up for a matter of some months which has been common in some cases with SDF. They have made some effort to reorganise their supply chain lately but it remains to be seen how succesful this has been or will be. Their reputation where I am is still bad for all ages of tractor but current the dealer has little intrest in service.
