The Eicher Farm-Express could be eichers answer to the Unimog and to the Kramer Universal www.bagger-und-bahnen.de/lkw/Kramer-marburg-BEARB.jpgwww.bagger-und-bahnen.de/lkw/Kramer-hamburg-petersen-01-BA.jpgBut they hadn´t been much built. I have seen only one in the 60´which had been used by a Farmer in neighbour village who traded with coal and heating oil and used it with a hooked up oiltank for delivering oil. There is no difference in design between the Eicher and the MF-Eichers. I. E. a 4072 is an Eicher with Eicher engine and 72hp, a 3072 is the same with a 72hp Perkins. Both at the dealers for sale at the same time! And as you can see at the bottom of the side, the Eicher trcuks had been built by Magirus and sold with a lot of sucsess. The first Eicher Express looked like an italian OM "Leoncino".

Thanks for linking my site ;D www.watzeels.nl fore the most Eicher Brochures From 1973 until 1982 Eicher used Perkins 3 and 4 cylinder Engine's, because MF was a partner of Eicher during that time.

I've heard that MF bought into Eicher to get access to their narrow models... But didnt they own Landini, with lots of special orchard and vineyard series, at the same time

The Eicher with Eicher engine didn´t use the MF tranny. They had ZF and Hurth.

At the end they paint a few Hurliman tractors Eicher Blue, short-while after that at 1991 Etcher stopped building the standard tractors. And only build narrow tractors.

The former Dutch importer bought the rights to the Eicher name, and re-introduced it in co-operation with Carraro, mounting an air cooled Deutz 914 engine.
