I guess you're from North America, because its the only place in the world where the Agrostroj Pelhrimov spreaders of type RUR 55 were marketed as Zetor. In Europe the type designation is used as the trade name because it is unpronouncable. They were the first wide spread universal spreaders on the market ever since the early 70's and the basic model layout has been unchanged. They only had some changes to the spread table: they started as RUR 50 with 2 spinners, then RUR 55 with 4 spinners, and now the RUR 60 model has a V shaped spreading table, the slant throw of the manure results in a much more even spread pattern from center to the sides. The RUR 60 model actually looks a bit sophisticated too www.agrostroj.cz/files//137_rozmetadla%20cz.pdfI have been thinking of trading my 3.5 ton Schuitemaker spreader for one, because mine is worth a lot for hobbyists, but too small and light duty, for my use. I could pick them up for between 750 an 1500 euro depending on condition. A dealer rebuilds them during winter time, and sells them for around 3500 to 4000 with new wear parts and paint. They are built quite rugged, i never took the opportunity to buy one, but they have a pretty good (unpronouncable) name over here. As horsemen say, an average horse must have the right colour. A good horse doesnt have a colour.

Adam, i've been lurking around at a nearby dealer that has a Howard rotaspreader on his lot, cant sell it....
It ought to be cheap by now (scrap price and a bit of goodwill) but remembering your answers to previous questions about rotaspreaders, i think it better stays there while i seek for another RUR 55 bargain that needs some work... Or i'll build one myself and have it fully galvanised so it doesnt rot so quickly..
