did I read correctly?? Deere are going call a spade a spade by saying that a tractor with a 100 hp engine is a 100 hp tractor . so that means that the US is going to do what the reast of the world does .. PS that timitimi that keeps posts viral cack on this site should be hunted down and fed to the wolves

Deere are going call a spade a spade by saying that a tractor with a 100 hp engine is a 100 hp tractor . It makes it easier to show off to your neighbours

How does that make it easier? And why show off, when the old iron does the job just fine? And on the original topic, I'm betting Deere WILL come out with the 40 series. It's just a matter of time.

How does that make it easier? Some folks dont know a bit about tractors, but do need to have the most HP to impress the neighbor, who is just as dumb as he is... So showing the real hp in the type designation makes it easier to show off. Thats why JD sold a 6900 in Europe while this tractor was marketed as 7400 ?? in America.

Ah, I see. Only 2 farms on the road between cities that I farm on have ANYTHING over 200Hp, and they're actually big enough to need them. Most of us on that 12 mile stretch are 300-400 acre farms.

In September or October 2009, Deere will be change production line in Waterloo to new version of 8000 series. Maybe only 8 series (eg. 8295 - first number is series a rest of them are HP).
Sorry for my english;)

7530 is £20,000 more expensive than a Case IH Puma equivalent and thats £20,000 after discount.
Another example is a Case IH 335 Magnum is about £75,000 after discount. A JD 8530 is £110,000 after discount.

the Deere 7930IVT I ran last fall was almost awesome. Its only drawback was the wider than wide turning circle. Had a Deere 8200 on the plow this spring...... fairly impressive as well, but the trans was jumpy (16x9 powershift) and it didnt seem to have as much power..... bogged down regularly on a 10 shank brillion chisel. They may be better than the old Fords I'm used to, but not enough better to justify the huge price difference in my opinion. Were they $40k cheaper in price, I would have a lot of interest in that IVT machine though.

In the UK MF and CNH are gaining market share all the time. There are a few Case's been put into long term JD users purely on the price difference.
