Does anyone know of any aftermarket kit available for measuring the diesel consumption on tractors or combines??
Our Valtra tractors and Lexion combine do not have a consumption meter, but we should like to state the consumption for different work and drivers! It will also make it possible to charge diesel separatly on the invoice when doing contracting work! Especially nowadays as the price is on the up......
Anything available??

The Cebis system on the Lexions tells you how much power you are using as a percentage and I'm sure it tells you how many litres per hour you are using too. I've only had one day on ours and was underwhelmed by it, but that is another thread...
It might be a lot cheaper to put a meter on you delivery pump and record the amount of fuel you poor into the tank and divide by the number of hours you work.

i can drive 4 liter per 100 km with my Volvo 850 TDI doing steady 80 km/h behind a truck, but the average is closer to 7 liter per 100km, doing an average speed of 55 km/h (average speed is counted as soon as the car starts rolling, so that includes slow traffic jams and towns)
moment indications dont mean much... well when powering a thresher, it may mean more than the moment indication during transport..
