A buddy of mine had a Weidemann with 33hp and a max. width of 1.2m i think and you can easily handle silage round bales with a dia. of 1.25m

Renze not all skidsteers are the same, google "JCB Robot"
Weidermann are a good loader, but I would not bother with a avant or dingo or whatever they are called.
I think the Matbro loaders in the UK are a good buy, parts are easily available but no one wants them since they went bankrupt.

DAF engines are good but they can certainly be beaten. I would put DAF as a middle of the range motor.
I would rate a cummins or Iveco above them.
As for your loader, you need to start looking in the UK for a Matbro TR200, it is a good machine, you would get a favourable deal with the pound and euro exchange rates
