on karate movies, sometimes they use a weapon called numb-chucks, why are they called numb-chucks

Sorry i dont watch karate movies... i watch either CSI, NCSI or discovery channel... The level of todays amusement shows is so low that i'm rather chopping firewood than watching that garbage...  |

Here they are named Tschakos...but really don´t know why, cause the okld germanstyle police helmets have been named "Tschako", too. |
