saw a magnum the other day with front linkage, and it looks like you have to remove the radiators, drop the front end off the tractor to do a fan belt
whats the worst fan belt changing job you had?

Was once driving a zetor home (please dont tell anyone), when I got to a hill the elastic band in the gearbox broke, that was a bitch to change.
But the worst belt I had to change was on a old forklift, it had front crank driven pump, the counter weight was wrapped around it all and sombidy had decided to weld the counter weight in place.

A local horseman trick is to cut it in half, stick it around the ring gear, and rivet it back together using a piece of the old friction band. The riveted bands didnt break, and riveting saved you having to split the tractor, which means the repair could be done in just a fraction of the time. Replacing a belt on a 5245 doesnt take more than a half an hour.. just releasing the alternator, and taking off the upper rad hose to be able to pull it between the fan and the fan shroud.

any tractor with front linkage will be a bit of a problem, any fendt vario 700 and 800 are a pain in the backside, because you have to unbolt the rubber dampner then some how try to slide the drive shaft forward all in a space that was to small for a fly to get into. the older 300's had a simple little lever that pulled the drive shaft out of the crank letting you to just slide the new belt in. the 8560 is a also a bit of a pain but not as bad as the fendts.

Worst two were DF Agrotron TTV1145 with front linkage and pto, pain in a** and MXM 175 with factory fitted front linkage and pto was even worse. For strange reasons TTV doesn't have normal hand cranked fuel lift pump, fuel pump is driven by the main/fan belt and it's makes air bleeding very awkward job.

camo, fendt 716 has a deutz motor with a fan belt driven fuel pump too that creates the odd head ache.
seen red mechanics take a couple hours to do CVX ones lol
