ya, i can't wait to see the new puma, but really all i wanna see is what they have done different internally, i know they have done away with claw couplers in favour of clutch packs, and NH has syncros, but i wanna see if they have learnt from the CVX lol, but really if the tractor is any good that may take a few years lol. the old CVX for some people have had mixed opinions, but it has been interesting to watch farmers and contractors here, buy them after owning one, they definitly have a good infield performance, and drivers like them. the Steyr/CIH CVX machine has allowed the technology to develop fast for the whole industry.
i see a pic at new agtalk of a magnum 225 CVT, someone there claims its puma back end in a small frame magnum, but i thought CIH had something in the oven for the magnum, again be interesting to see if they put a cvt in the large magnum,
if the cvt puma is like the normal puma, its a nice tractor, critics say they are a warmed over NH, but they nice, great engine, cab etc, the multicontroller is a nice touch, and i really think they have a good tractor package. ....i imagine someone will tell me different but often I am just happy to see a tractor with a cab and 4wd. from what I am told the puma 180 powershift pulls like a frieght train

interesting tractors, those small frame Magnums. There are now the Magnum 180,190 and 210. Technically they're the same as the Puma with the 6,75l engine, 19+6 gearbox and backend originating from the NH TM under the cab and sheet metal of the Magnum. This 225 CVT is based on the new Puma 225 CVT. New Hollander

hmm interesting about the small magnum lol......i wonder why they have kept the same engine and trans in the different tractor, someone told me a large magnum vario is being developed, and the magnum power shift was the US based one,
o well, old story, can't wait to see them side by side to know for sure!

Looks like small frame Magnum has big brother's engine and front end and MXM's back end. If it really is like this and houses MXM's gearbox, it makes perfect sense to use CVT gearbox on smaller Magnums.
