I need to replace the ball socket on a lift arm of a Massey Ferguson 251xe. One fell out, and I just can't get the new one in. The other side is held in by a cotter pin, but I can't force it out. It's probably simple enough, but I am doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated. ____________________________________ Tony W. Case IH Tractors

On a UR1 Zetor you can take off a plate which is held in place with 4 M8 bolts. On bigger Zetors (as well as most other tractors i've seen), you just buy a new link end and weld it to the arm instead of the old one. You dont loose balls because the ball is worn, but because the pocket is worn.

Hey Doc
Why donĀ“t You tell tonyw, that he only has to change linkage or put new links onto the arms?
Do You really think, someone beside Your forum is intrested in how it works on Zetors?? We owned a JD 1030, which had the same prob, we fixd it, by putting plates on the bolts of the machinery by coupling.
Oh...how much tractors have You seen in real, beside Your toy tractor and brochure collection?? 1, 2??
