Does anyone has ever seen een 845 XL with an Agriomatic? Normally an 845 XL of this age has an synchronised forward-reverse. Today I've seen one without it, because it's an imported tractor I think it was only for other market's? Like to know more about it.

Not quite sure what you mean by agriomatic but if its the forward reverse shuttle lever then they were put on them in the UK from about 1993 onwards. Then they were replaced by the 42 series with XL cabs on them.
We ran a 4WD 1990 956XL and that had the normal Synchronised gearbox. Fantastic tractor for its supposed 95hp. It pulled a 5 furrow plough set at 16 inches very well indeed. I think they were perfectly balanced tractors.

With Agriomatic I mean the German system used on the 523 - 624 - 724 ... and later on the 744 - 844 ... It was possible to change groups or forward - reverse without using the clutch. On the older ones it worked good but on the 44-serie there were problem so I tought they stop it in the 70's. But today I saw that it was used in an XL version. The Belgium IHC where assembled in France, the Dutch IHC in Germany so sometimes there where a little difference between them. We live in Belgium on about 4 km of Holland, so we know most German models, but an XL with Agriomatic was new for me. You talk about a reverse system on the 1993 models, this new for me too. My father was an IHC dealer from 1975 to 1995 From 1996 We sell New Holland.

It was Fiat's decision. We were NH (Clayson) dealer since 1975 too. When Ford took NH over they want us to sell Ford. My father has it not done. When Fiat took over Ford New Holland they say : New Holland with tractors or Case IH, not both. He has changed to New Holland tractors. I think it was the best decision. Not that Case is bad, they are better than NH(the German Case IH tractors not the British one). But over here are not much tractor dealer without a second 'job' : cars , harvesters, construction , ...

Bart,
So do all the machinery dealers out near you have other jobs to supplement their incomes?
Is this a sign of things to come worldwide. With machinery sales on the up and up in the UK there has got to be a point when all the farmers say 'I dont need anything this year' Then what will the dealers do?

Over here, there are a lot smal dealers (we too). We sell about 15 tractors a year, 1 combine, 1 baler , and every 2 years a forage harvester and a telehandler or a skid steer. If they sell only tractors, they don't have work for the mecanics the whole year, so they do something else. In other country's the dealerships are a lot bigger, I think that's a big difference.

I agree with Bart.
As far as i know, dealers are generally small in Belgium. With us in the Netherlands, there are much bigger dealers, a small dealer sells about 10 new tractors a year, and mostly they also sell lawn mowers, chainsaws, lawn mowing tractors, some workshop tools and spades and the such.
I know a big dealer, with a staff of about 10 workers. His seconf hand machinery stocj consists of about 20 hay tedders, 20 rakes, 15 silage block cutters, 15 tractors, 3 loaders and excavators.
I think the scale of dealerships is much bigger in the Netherlands than in Belgium.

Again intresting discussion. First about IH,my co-operation farmer bought about 3 years ago two old IH 844,not 845,2 wd tractors.Target were use those to 'help' works.Other of those had,i think so this agriomatic.Unfortunately i haven't opportunity to drive it,i drove other with conventional gears. But they told that in this IH was long stick, left side of cabin and direction shuttle was handled with this. Also they told that it need lot of rpm to engine during start. Was it agriomayic or some hydro solution?
This dealer system in Belgium is nice.Whole situation is opposite comparing our system. Here in Finland we have also independent dealers but i think they sell in every case more than 30-50 tractors per year. And most of big brands have one, whole country organisation. CNH dealer network is based here also to independent dealers at this moment also NH and Case brands have different sell offices, maybe the owner is same but they must have separetly doors and salesmans for both. Spare parts and maintenance system could be same.CNH have stated those rules.
Here dealerorganisations are big, farming maybe not.

The CIH dealership I work for in the UK has 3 depots, about 30 employees, and sells about 60 tractors a year, but we also sell alot of other machines awell. But sales are falling, as farming as going through a hard time. We are looking for a second line, construction looks promising at the moment. we also have a 'country store' selling mowers, chain saws barbeques etc to 'townies'. cheers Simon

It all depends over here. Some dealer sell cars and trucks along with farm equipment. Some have hardware stores with them. Other sell ATVs and snowmobiles,Other are getting into trailers. A few are even doing rent-all types of operations. I guess what ever makes a buck or two. Some are just stand alone also.

O, talking 'bout IH tractors: I'm looking for a 533/523. a 423 would be ok also. Just a smal, very handy tractor for cultivating. We had a 633 years ago: very nice, simple tractor with a small turningcircle, witch is now with the FWA isn't anymore
