Hi guys, After a week of bad connections, www.zetorworld.com is back online. This was due to a domain move, the domain was moved to another webhost provider. With this new provider, i can run my own CGI scripts for forum, photo gallery, classifieds, and guetbook on the site, so that the new forum will be free of those annoying banner ads. The new forum will be implemented by the end of the week. (i have to figure out how to configure the script, and edit it to fit the zetorworld site style) Greetings Renze

Hi Renze, Z.... world will be nicer without the popups. Are you about ready to update the History page? I'm ready for some UR1 info.

Hi Kenjar, Yes, i have been doing something on the history page, but i wnat to get the new forum running first.
I have it installed on the server, but i am struggling with the Linux individual file rights, and i have to configure the server variables of the CGI script. long ago, i have been doing some Q-basic programming which is quite similar, but the Unix/Linux server variables are the pain in the a$$.
I will keep you informed.

Thanks, Admin ! I'll try to explain my problem: The script, which is programmed by, and free to download from the site of Matt Wright, www.scriptarchive.com needs the variables "CGI_url" and "cgi_location" or something. I think that cgi location is the pain in the a$$. This needs to be the physical loacation, not the URL. Should i ask my hosting provider for the system path to my CGI-bin? (e.g. C:\inetserv\zetorworld.com\cgi-bin\wwwboard.pl or similar?) Actually, i have no idea of the directory structure, and setup of a web server. The indivudual file rights are not the problem, the tutorial tells what to do. Your help is much appreciated, Renze

Hey boys, i got my forum running !! No more pop-ups, and fully customized pages !! The problem was, that i had to upload in ASCII, instead of binary. (LINUX servers dont understand Windows generated Binary code... ) i have to do some details, but it's fully functional, in zetorworld 'style of the house' www.zetorworld.comYou are invited to inaugurate the new board
