Dont ge tmixed up with the Royal Smithfield and the Royal Show.
Smithfield is every 2 years always towards the end of November. Its held in Earls court in London.
The Royal Show is held every year in July at a place called Stoneleigh. Its near Birmingham (centre of england).
DO NOT waste your time coming to the Royal Show in July. Its rubbish. Hardly any of the machinery manufacturers display there any more. Its more like a country craft fair. I will not be going again after this last year. It was a complete waste of time. All the manufacturers display their stuff at 'Cereals' now which is held during the summer.

;D ;D Woodbeef and Farmer from Finland: I just love to surprise people with this kind of bullsh*t !! Remember, i told you before what my father says: "you will never keep a good looking woman for yourself, other men will also look at her" Most women who are good looking are getting uglier the more you look at them.

Shin-dig?? Where the h... did you find that expression anyway? Thought I knew most of that kind of slang. Could anyone please enlighten me as of the origin of the expression. Just for my personal linguistic interest. Anyway : Haven´t been to SIMA for many years now, and Paris in springtime allways has been something else. As far as exibitions go I´ve allways preferred Agritechnica though but I guess that would be at the earliest november next year. After all I was the one who brought the idea to this board so I would absolutely consider it. Cannot promise however if I´ll be able to manage to go. Sure will try though.

Hey HPP,
Shin-dig dates back to the early 1800s. I've always heard it attributed to the Mountian Men of the Rockies Fur Trading days. It means a special social gathering/party or for them a Rendevous.

Here are some dates: RAI tuesday 10-saturday 14 december 2002 SIMA sunday 23-friday 27 february 2003 There is no more dealer's day at the RAI anymore. SIMA has free entrance for foreign visitors. Sunday is a good day to visit. Not so very busy on the road and plenty of room on the stands.

Hey Renze,
I don't think I have time to go there. I think I'm going to Hannover on thursday or friday but I'll be there on saturday the 23rd at the miniature show. Maybe you could write an article here about the prices they pay over there. Do you know if they have a website of what is being sold?
