Wait a second, suddenly I'm confused by the Ag Machinery post that reads "23/09/2002: Sources say McCormick will introduce new 200+ tractors next year. They will have a Funk fullpowershift transmission. These tractors will likely be the Genesis tractors which are produced by Canadian tractorbuilder Buhler. The tractors will have Cummins engines. " Does anyone know anything about this? Does this mean that Buhler will sell its Genesis tractors to McCormick and McCormick will co-brand? I'm really curious! In addition, the current Genesis has a New Holland engine, so in the future it will have a Cummins (like the Versatile)?? Does anyone have any news on this posting?

It's been floating around for awhile, but no new news on it lately. Not sure how much longer Basildon will be making motors, seeing how CNH is just about rid of everything that uses them. Agro has always badge-engineered larger tractors,so why not do it with McC? Buhler is not targeting Europe at this time,so McC can do it for them.

Vermeer are distributing McC's in the US so any deal would be one sided, ie McC taking Buhlers only. Makes sense from both sides. If they do will there be blue Buhlers for McC's sister company? Are the McC's around in the US and Canada? There's quite a few in the UK and France. Are Buhlers visible on the ground?

It is my understanding that these models will be shown at the SIMA show in Paris, maybe sooner. Dealers in Europe should have pictures of them. Haven't heard anything about a blue one. Don't know if they will be sold in the states.
Dealer networks are still being established stateside. Quite a few have signed on. Have seen some tractors on dealer lots.
Buhler is still signing up dealers. I have one near me, no tractors as yet.

Hey Fred,
The Buhlers are all now back to the old Versatile colors, not NH blue anymore.
The blue ones were just to use up the existing stock of parts that NH did not take with them.

Wrong shade of Blue - the colour being alluded to was the light powder blue of Landini!!!

OOppppsss ..............I guess I missed that part about Landini!!
Not too many McCs running around over here. They are priced to high for a new brand.
Starting to see some Buhler dealers though here and there.

Cheers Steve Glad someone understands what I say:)
Woodbeef When you say priced too high for new brand are people wary of a new name or are they more expensive than the CIH variants from before? Don't buyers know what they are? I've already seen a lot in England and a few in France. Well in England an entire fleet of them did up the numbers! What would Buhler dealers be offering as sub 150hp tractors?

Hey Fred,
The McCs are priced the same as the CIH ones were, and sold as in Europe by existing CIH dealers. Here in lies the trouble. Even though all but the MTX are basically the same tractor, they are not being backed by CIH any longer. So for McC to sell them they need to lower the price.
Buhler only has the Genesis and Versatile lines for sale, mostly at NH dealers.

The last sentence sums up things exactly.

Whats NH's line on Buhlers going through their dealers still? I'd say most McC's in the UK go through McC dealers. CIH ones still offer some but I don't think push them. The UK has a lot of McC dealers now, many have dropped CIH for them. I can't see that your side of the pond!
