Triple F
Thanks for the pics. I can now see that the bachoe is well built. What a weight, you don't want too drive on too much soft ground. Were they popular without a front loader? or available with a front loader?
I looked at the Lannen website from the JWD posting, nice green paint. Are they popular in Finland? It seems they only export to your near neighbours, I suppose it can cost too much to try to sell further afield if the numbers are small. Scandanavian countries seem to produce a lot of equal wheel models, usually pivot steer (Lannen, Volvo, Hydrema etc) JCB I recall developed the 4cx with Scandanavia in mind, the did some in 70's also. The 4cx started as pivot steer but went four whell steer to mack machine more stable. Question is why equal wheel popular when small front wheels more popular every where else.

Fred Maybe during 70:s manufacturers started make models with front loaders. As i know Lannen made last model (S30) without front loader maybe 1995.
For question of weight, those back hoe models were used often in wet areas, front weights first away and then crawlers around wheels. Then goes.
Vammas major is so heavy that on wet areas it needs professional driver,it sucks very easy, first heavy front part and..... At this moment contractors use only models with front loader like Lannen.
finnish and swedish machines are expencive but also stronger and more equipped as others. Pivot steer models are common in Finland. It's enough strong for loading to trucks and also back hoe is normally stronger as JCB and others have.
