..This is a subject that matters all of us farmers.. I like that guy. He is fighting against globalisation, surpression of farmers in both the western and third world to work for world market prices, and against McDonalds junkfood. (he is the one who "disassembled" that McDonald's building) I think he is quite right on many points. We need more of these eye-opening people. What's your opinion?? Oh.. I forgot this: www.confederationpaysanne.frUse babelfish.altavista.com/tr to translate this. You can paste the webpage adress in the field and view the page in English.

Hey Renze, I thought that Jose Bove was only popular in France (i'm french). Yes, i think that his fight is right, but he has been 2 month in prison this summer. The big corporations (Monsanto, Mcdonalds...) and the governements don't like him... because he has destroy a Mcdonald building and many GMO fields (and that's right ) When he went to the prison, he went on a tractor and he was in all the TV, radios, papers on his international 745 (without cab of course, it's better for the camera) But now, a lot of people in france think that he is really defending the farmers, unfortunatelly, his "trade unions" (confederation paysanne) is a small "trade union"....

Last week, he was in the Netherlands to introduce his new book about/against global market.
He was also a few times on Dutch TV.
In the interview with the paper "vee en gewas" in English "Cattle and crop" he said he hasn't wrecked anything at the McDonalds. He just loosened the screws and bolts of the doors, and put the doors on a trailer and drove some rounds for the cameras.
And when tearing down that GMO crop field, he was helped by environmental organisations. And that's a very good sign, when they are with you instead of against you.
I think when people start bugging around with GMO, sooner or later, one species will survive all chemicals, and overgrow all other plants. That would be a real problem, if you believe me or not, this might become a "monster of Frankenstein".
I'm just hoping to see someone like him to stand up in the Netherlands, and other countries.
