somebody power to give data me on series 41 and 51 of John deere that I commercialize myself in south Africa. the motor does not seem John deere anybody knows to something on these tractors to me? . power, motors etc..

Hey Jose,
Were they made in South Africa or South America? Since they were manufactured in either of the S.A.,they probably have to come with an engine that was made there. If my memory serves me right,I think they have a Perkins licensee engine in them. It is one of these things that countries do for protectionism of existing manufacturing.
Valmet (VdB)had to do it,and Valtra still does on certain smaller tractors. The engines come from MWM(Deutz)Brazil.

Not sure what part of the Yesterday's Tractors the info is on with a quick look, but I assume he refers to the " John Deere Tractors Worldwide" book by Don Mcmillan. It's got alot of interesting info on worldwide JD tractors. Those Perkins engines built in South Africa were put in all tractors made there of different makes according to the book.
