Hey guys,
Ploughs can have tip coulters, and disk coulters to achieve a smooth and straight furrow side. About every plough has some kind of small pre-furrow, putting the manure and stubble in the subsoil of the furrow.
I was wondering last week: Why dont they have combined disk coulters and pre-furrows, I mean the bulging disks like on disk harrows? I think they need less traction, and you have to adjust just one element instead of two, when you want to plough varying soils.
