Earlier i wrote about rumor concerning JD and Valtra. Now Mr.Herlin the CEO of Kone said that Valtra is not in selling list. They are selling some parts of their business areas, but not tractor production. One one those parts for sell is SISU trucks.
I'm more or less happy of this, othervice Mr Herlin said in TV so that nothing is'nt stable forever.......
Otherhand valtra is making investments in their factory,Suolahti so that production is growing from 10000 tractors to 12000 per year.It seems valtra try stay in business.

Hey Triple F,
I do believe that Kone intends to hang on to Valtra no matter what else they spin-off.
As for Deere I think they are hearing the proverbial "footsteps" of the enchroaching Finns!!

Hey Farmer from Finland,
That is good to hear. With all the buyouts and mergers, it is nice to hear someone is staying independent.

Our local Valtra dealer lately told me proudly that Valtra grew 10% while others have had loss.
And: They wuld be pretty dumb if they sold the most profitable part of their business concern !!
By the way: Sisu trucks, i was thinking they just made cargo trucks for loading and unloading of truck trailers ?? The few SISU trucks i saw, were of those torque converter equipped things, with much too small tires. They were driving truck trailers into the ferry, which brought us to our holiday destination, Sweden.

Seems like Sisu is a local brand, the same as what Terberg and Ginaf are here in the Netherlands. Ginaf takes Daf engines, cabs and axles, ZF trannies and partly Sisu axles (i thought Ginaf co-developed a heavy offroad truck axle with Sisu) We also have terberg, which is doing the same with Volvo components. Sisu does it with mainly Renault components, at least the cab. (and their own axles)

1-6/2002 Sisun and Renaultin had 25,6 % of finnish truck markets.Only Volvo is bigger. There how markets are splitted in Finland.
Volvo 30.5 Sisu+Renault 25,6 Scania 24,3 Mercedes 10,7 Mann 5 Iveco+others 4.9
As WB said Sisu is marketing Renault in Finland also Renault is marketing Sisu in Europe. Sisu is specilist of heavy trucks, for log transportation and miningindustry etc. They have published model where they use CAT 630 HP engine. It's biggest at this moment in finnish markets.

Hey Farmer from Finland,
Speaking about Valtra, are there many of the S series out there? Valtra sales have been very good, just wondering how the S models were doing.
Have you heard anything on the new T series? Launch dates.etc?
Is SisuDiesel one of the core products Kone plans to keep?

As i know S series marketing isn't started yet.But these days it's starting.I haven't seen it in nature.Valtra have transported demos to Europe over us.
T-series is very unknown also, only what i know is the picture in internet. But,noe Valtra have published special offer 100 hp Valtra with frontloader, maybe that is indication for something....
Sisudiesel in keeping list and part of Valtra as WB said.
