Having driven deeres for a few years my boss came to me and said would i mind trying a fendt as we were getting a couple, how i regret the day i said yes. The cabs need a lot doing to them to get rid of all the rattles and squeeks and the air con well buy some shorts if your going to drive one. Next not meaning to be to picky the heart of the outfit it couldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding never mind pull a load at 50kmh, i could go on and on but people might think i don't like them [ha ha]

Have you drove any of the others CVT, like Deutz Agrotron TTV, Case CVX, or JD 6020 autopower?

Sorry about the delay working to many hours. We have an early 6810 autopower and thats sort of what u expect from them, a bit flat on the road but seems fairly guttsy in the field. I am trying to push him into trying a 7810 autopower against the fendt 818 as i think the fendt needs new horses not shetland ponies.

Cant agree I'm afraid. I'll reply properly later because i'm tired, but since yesterday lunchtime I have spent over 20 hours on a 716. It is on demo. Better economy than my JD 6510, Better power than JD 6920S, Much better air con than my 6510 (which stopped cooling all together on Saturday, leaving me all hot under the collar) 6810 autopowr? dont even get me started on that Anyway i'm going to get some rest, As I say will answer properly in a few days. BTW where are you from, little farmer? I'm from NW England.

Tried a 920 and 926 and thought they were both excellent machines. The build quality is better than any othe rmake, the engine was quiet but powerful. The gear box was the best thing since sliced bread (and yes I have tried the CVT and the autopower). The suspended cab and axle was great. I could nto fault either of them.
They were pitted against an JD 8410, MX 270, Challenger 55 and NH 8970. The Fendt won on everything.
Anyway we did not get one cause the MX270 was cheaper. However since then we have sold the MX for tracks as more grip was required.

I have worked about 30 hours with vario 716,also i tried JD 6920 Ap but only 20 minuts. Both are good for working, maybe JD is little bit easier to handle. The version of 716 i drove is old, accordong the owner operation is changed simplier. At this moment,if i must make the choice without price thinking, the result would be Fendt.I just like it.JD is also good, but Fendt have something.....quality and other..
