Hey MG,
I can't help you with the 9880, not available in the states. However,I have some friends that have a 9750STS which would be a lower hp version, biggest model Deere here. They have had relatively good luck with it during 3 seasons of work. Just some niggles, now and then.
You might check out FWI, there might be someone there who has had some experience with it.

we have also just bought an STS 9880 an hope that anyone knows how it runs comparing to the 480 Claas which we had bevore!
