What and when was the last Ebro tractor built?
What is Nissan(Renault) doing with them nowadays?

The last models I saw over here were the 460,470 and 480. That was in the early 80's. A company called McKee distributed them.
Don't know what happened to them after the Nissan takeover.

Well Ebro was the most sold tractor in Catalonia, during the 50-70, i don't know the numbers exactly but + -.
For the latest series they are Ebro under Kubota. I have some specs of 1993. At 1996 Ebro doesn't appear on the tractor list. During 1994, 1995 i don't know what happens. All have Kubota motors, but the K1 series has a Nissan motor. K1-130 115HP 6 5982cc water 18/6 K1-150 138HP 6 5982cc water 18/6 K1-170 155HP 6 5982cc water 36/12 M1-750 81HP 4 4329cc water 24/24 M1-850 88HP 4 4665cc water 24/24
if you are interested in low HP i have some specs too.
But i think that is Kubota yet.
The really last Ebro were : 8070 67HP 4 3860cc water 8/2 8100 100HP 6 6100cc water 12/4 8110 110HP 6 6100cc water 12/4 8135 135HP 6 5850cc water 12/4
Well and with them Ebro dissapeared, a tractor who was the most sold and all a symbol, has dissapeared into Kubota. Many time Kubota and Massey are in the same dealers here.
Have them any relation?
Were the Ebro tractors imported to USA and Canada?

Does anyone have an Ebro tractor site???
I know that Ford sold out of Motor Iberica in 1954; Massey Ferguson bought 32% of Motor Iberica, Ebro's parent, in 1966, then sold its shares to Nissan.
Also, how about Barreiros? I know this Portuguese company had a tie-up with Hanomag. I believe Barreiros built tractors from 1954-1980s. Any website for them? The successor company is HISPANO and builds buses.

I think that Barreiros isn't portuguese, it was a spanish brand too, like Ebro.
Many trucks Barreiros, well famed tractors, still running one near my farm, with a good condition, but not many land to cultivate.

Can someone explain me why, and when Nissan bought Ebro? Did they make trucks too?
Hey, i think to know Nissan had a plant for the production of their Patrol 4x4 cars in Spain, is that the old Ebro plant? I thin the Ford Maverick has been built there too, for a couple of years.
Those Nissan engines, they must be the industrials used in the forklifts too?

Well, what can I say about Ebro that my friends from Catalonia haven´t said. You have been very quick... As far as I know all begun when Motor Iberica bought the production rights of the Fordson Major to built them under the Ebro brand in the late 1950´s or the early 1960´s. I think Ebro tractors were initially made at Barcelona. In the mid 60´s Ebro reached an agreement with Massey Ferguson, thus thousands of Masseys were sold with Ebro decals (as you can see in Sebas´ picture). Some of them are still running. In the 70´s Ebro begun to built its own models with Perkins engines. Very nice tractors, I must say. Ebro built tractors in a modern factory at Cuatro Vientos, Madrid, in the 80´s. In order to get into the Spanish market (I wouldn´t say the farm equipment industry...) Nissan acquired Motor Iberica, included their facilities to design and built trucks and vans. The Japanese company first introduced the Nissan logos in the new vans and trucks, while for the agricultural business they begun to built Kubota tractors (designed by Podadera, a very famous industrial designer) at Cuatro Vientos plant. Nissan Motor Iberica also sold some small Masseys in the 80´s. The Japanese Company changed the blue colour of the latest Ebros sold in the early 90´s achieving a colour very similar to the Landini blue. Motor Iberica also designed and built yellow construction equipment with the Ebro brand. In the 70´s/ 80´s was not too difficult to spot Ebro loaders for handling grain in rural areas. Anyway, the tractors and trucks were much more popular than the loaders. Nowadays Nissan builds the Atleon Series of trucks (perhaps at Madrid) and the Almera Tino, Serena and Patrol at Barcelona. I could talk more about Ebro, since my family owned several models (Ebro Super 55, a Massey one and a 70´s Ebro 684E)... Barreiros was the second Spanish brand for tractors. We had them here until the early to mid 80s or so. I've seen some as Kenjar said with the McKee name,and some with out. The 6125 mfd one that I saw was quite impressive!

I'm surprised that Ebro has been sold in Canada. What opinion had the McKee (this Ebro) in Canada?
I think that the close of doors of Ebro was a sad finish for this make.
Well i suppose it wasn't the only brand what has dissapeared.

Never can say I've heard anything bad about Ebro. There are a few used ones every now and then seem to demand decent prices,about mid range. Not sure where you'd get parts though.
