www.farmphoto.com/homestead/message.asp?mid=10721I've found this interesting picture of a Massey Ferguson 4135 at farmphoto.com. I think it's based on a Massey Ferguson 3635 or 3645. Picture has been taken at Sima 1991. Would love to know more about this tractor....... Jarno Reulink Holland

At that time MF was working on a tractor that follows the MF 1200 and MF 1805 tractors. I think this is a picture of it. Quadtronic or something like was the name for it. Project was stopped because of high cost and to small market for it. By the way. I am still looking for a MF 1200 4-wd. Just for my freetime and not for work. Not to exspensive .....

Yes it does look different!! Is it crab-steer? It does not look to be a bend-in-the-middle tractor from the picture.

I think there was an article in Power Farming or some other periodical once. As I remember, they were working with some construction machinery or other equipment manufacturer in France on the design. The other company was supposed to distribute it locally and MF was to have the export sales. Never heard any more of it.

Woodbeef.
No, it was a bend to the middle. This picture shows this tractor.

Valtrac 4WS tractors are built in France. The base is built in AGCO at Beauvais (Oise) in the north of the country and they go to the factory of more accomodations.

The Valtrac tractors were made by a company called Roux Industries( www.risa-roux.com). There were more types than just the 4135. I also remember the 4120 but I don't know of any smaller types. They had the normal mechanical Speedshift gearbox but the tractors they produce these days have a hydraulic transmission. Friedhelm, our local MF dealer has an MF 1200 for sale. I don't know the price but you can contact them at www.fransvanderveen.nl. The tractor is not on the site yet. Greetings from across the border, New Hollander

I remember seeing this tractor at the SIMA show. I think it was a one-off made by a French firm specialising in conversions for forestry (I think it was called Roles or Rous). I will ask a friend to dig out the report and give you more details. But I am pretty sure it was not an official MF machine. It was 4WS (not artic steering) and I think it also had a stepless hydrostatic transmission. I did do something on it in Power Farming or Farmers Weekly. Mick
