Wondering if anybody knows of other tractor Importers/ Exporteers in the Netherlands. I'm looking for John Deere 4055, 4255 series tractors to ship back here to Eastern Ontario fo myself and a friend of my fathers. Just recently almost bought a 4055 from the Kofo tractor center in Wetern Holland. It had 3000. 4wd for $30,000 cdn. Had one of my dad's friends in holland look at it and it was in good shape; however, in the end they screwed us over because it was already sold, and they tried to get us to buy the one with 5000hrs, but that wasn't going to happen!

Looking for ones preferably with less than 4500hrs and in good condition, 4wd. If it has more than 4500hrs it's gotta be in good condition. The 4055 is 105hp. and i think the 4255 is around 120hp. Like to have one with the powershift. Airbrakes, front PTO and 3pt hitch are not neccessary, but if it comes with it, thats fine.
Thanks!

I don't believe there was anything but powershift models sold in Europe, certainly not in the UK. Has anyone seen a 50 or 55 series Waterlo built tractor with front PTO, I believe the power came from the rear as the front of the crankshaft powered the oil pump hense nowhere to connect the front PTO. Can anyone enlighten?

Drewman,
At the moment there are no 40 series JD's on the web site. This may change by the end of the week as we are waiting for a big upload of machines.
Currently there are plenty of JD's from 100 to 150 hp but they are all 6000 and 7000 series tractors. Are you not interested in any of those?

I am currently only interested in 50/55 series John Deeres. I think to bring a 6000 sereis Deere here would be problematic for resale becasue the models and hp ratings are not consistent with the North American 6000 series, parts may be a little more difficult, and people just aren't familiar with them. However, the 7000 series that Deere sells in holland, the 7700/7800's would be a possibility in the future. I think there is a market here for them because they are cheaper in Holland to buy used than here. A guy that I do some work for recently moved here from Holland and brought a 7810 with him. He's had many offers from people that would want to buy it, it looks different, bigger tires, fender extensions, air brakes ect.. so i think there's a market for them and plus they are made in the U.S.A, making parts easier to get ect..
