Lets see if we can get this section going properly.
Have got a shot of a Deere 3220 demo to replace Matbro TS 270. Very nice to drive lots of power and very fuel efficient working at muck today using half revs to gather 2.5t. Traction is very good. The cab is very comfortable and spacious however a right hand arm rest would be good for gathering bales and road work, manouverability is almost as good as TS which I consider top class. On the down side considering it is based on the TS270 10 years developement has made its visability poorer due to new bulbous deere hood design. There is no rear protection (father likes to push trailers, walls, bales etc out of his way with the TS rear) The new rear also means the pick up hitch cannot be seen from the cab even with the useless guiding mirror. The hydralics although a great improvement on the TS have a very sensitive joystick, One minute going very gently down next freefall to the point of danger. The door handle is in an awkward place for big clumsy hands with gloves and the heater doesn't warm the feet (JD Option) Price is also a contencious issue.
Marks out of 10 A disappointing 6
Cheers BB
