I will admit the first pictures of the new Tg tractors I felt like crawling under the counter, it was almost as ugly as the fendt tractors, however just got back from a dealer meeting in St. Louis and they are really nice and after the week they even started looking attractive, the cabs are unbelievably big and with all the Nh features it should be a good seller. I have very mixed emotions the genesis was a great and dependable tractor I hated to see it go, it was the best quality tractor we had as a Nh dealer very dependable and powerful and a breeze to service and work on. I can only hope for the tg to be as good as the genesis.

;)Hi Curt - your right, the 70/70A series Ford was, and still is hard to beat. Its is a far better looking tractor than the Mx Magnums or the 8000 series JD. The resale prices here in Denmark shows how highly farmers rate them, compared to Case Magnums that goes for small money - ironcly the Tg is almost a Case - Im just happy that a have my 1999 NH Ford 8670......

I know what you mean......My first reaction to the TG was certainly negative. It has grown on me somewhat and I recently saw a picture of the TG together with one of the new NH combines working in a field and the new image that NH is trying to create with its line-up started to become clear. The previous Genesis series were good looking machines, probably the freshest things to come along in a long time when they first appeared, but their time is passing I suppose. I hope the TG will be an improvement on the Genesis rather than a step backward. All in all, I wish NH and CaseIH luck because we need them in the market......

I'm really getting to like the New New Holland tractors. I think they look better than the CIH for sure. It looks a little retro to me with a kind of rounded look at the top of the front grill. I've never liked the Case protruding front grill that much. I'm wondering if tractors will revert back to a modernized version of the 1940's tractors. Some of those retro looks have taken off in the North American auto designs. Maybe the CIH will have a little of the old M look someday with a rounded front grill.

The new design does grow on you. I wish there were some better pictures out there, seeing them pull a machine or something. I like the fact that they kept the shorter nose, unlike the 8020 and the MX series. There's no need for such a long nose.
I think its kinda funny that since the Genesis came out in 1993, Deere finished up with the 60 series, then have gone from the 8000, 8010, and now 8020. And Case IH has done through the 7200, the 8900, and the MX series. It is a true testement to the Ford name.
The only thing I don't like is the placement of the sticker. I wish it was in the traditional high spot

Hey everyone, I got the literature on the New TG, updated TM tractors and the CR combine literature. There are some cool pictures in all three. But anyways, I found the industrial design firm behind the TG look. Their web site below and they have a couple development pictures, too. www.montgomerydesign.com

The TG looks, well, I still the prefer the 70/70A . The TG may look better in person, some photos look better than others.
Hey Curt, What did you think of the other new New Holland products? On the US site there is no mention of a TD series, as launched in Madrid. Are they going to be available stateside?

We are not getting the td tractors atleast not this year but I think caseih is getting the red version. We where in St Louis in february and seen the caseih tractors and noticed they where different then our tractors. They had a tl clone and another flat deck tractor that we assumed where the red td tractors?

Hey Lee, Give us the scoop. You are a previous MX Magnum owner, how does the new blue compare to the red?

Got to the demo - which was really good. But the only new CNH product was a MXM155. I thought there was going to be the whole range but unfortunately not. The Case man said there would be alot of new products for the Smithfield show in November. Anyway back to the MXM range. Well in Physical size there are 4 models from 120-155hp that are no bigger than the current MX135 in height and width etc. Then you have the 177 and 194 hp models which are physically bigger. Climbing into the cab I was a bit disapointed really. It was very boring and un-original. Nothing really new jumps out at you. They have added different modes to the gearbox such as autoshifting but really NH already had that. Basically it is a Case and NH put together, which is what everybody expected but it still was a bit disapointing to actually see it. If I thought I'd got to spend 14 hours on it then maybe I would be looking at employing a student to do it instead. Basically I am more inclined to keep our 2 Case 5150 maxxums as I dont think there is any major difference in userbility. There are obvious differences in the spec but if I am going to sit in a noisey uncomfortable cab then I ought to do it without spending any money on a new machine. As many of you already know I am not a JD fan by a long way but a friend of mine has bought a 6620 which I went and had a look a few days ago and I must admit I prefer the JD! (first time in history!) We run Case because they are reliable and cheap. I think we will continue to run Case for the same reason but I think they have lost the recent battle with JD for new products. We did not get to drive the MXM yesterday but we will be allowed very shortly as soon as the demo machines arrive at the dealers. Also at the demo working were STX 450 + 4.5M SIMBA SOLO + PRESS + TIRE ROLLER, STX 325 + 5 M DISCS & PRESS, MX240 + HORSCH CULTIVATOR, CVX170 + SIMBA X-PRESS, CT5080 COMBINE AND BIG SQUARE BALER. Static machines: STX 440 + 8M FREEFLOW DRILL, 4M FREEFLOW DRILL, MXM155, 3M SIMBA SOLO + PRESS, C04 HORSCH DRILL, SIMBA FLATLINER. All in all a very impressive dealer show day. Farols are a very good Case dealer who we have been lucky to have dealt with over the last 2 years now. I would recommend them to anybody wanting Ag machinery. www.farol.co.ukLee
