Hello again,it seems that i startted intresting discussion
I really hope that this marriage is rumor, but:
-please remember that Deere have also other Finnish brand,Timberjack, whish is operating with forest machines. -Valtra have also production in Brasilia which is big but well protected market -Valtras minor owner is changed some weeks ago,now the main owner of Partek shares is KONE famous lift manufacturer, finnish company.Tha main target for KONE was take bigger part of material handling the one part of Partek areas -Partek have also forest machine company PARTEKFOREST
If i calculate all together the summary is:
First KONE sell tractor manufacyuring to other manufacturer, maybe Deere
If Deere take Valtras brand they close manufacturing in finland, but they still have Brasilian factory
The next step could be that they eat PARTEKFOREST and integrate this part to Timberjack, because they want be the biggest also in this area and they have hard competition in Forestmachines with Caterpillar
Let see what going on,but dont foget that there is lot of other this as only tractors

I'd not go off and sell Valtra short just yet!!
Kone only bought the 30 some odd% of Partek owned by the Finnish government. That still leaves a lot of shares in hands other than Kone at this time.
I'd be very surprised if Kone would let such a reveered company as Valtra fall into offshore hands. I think that Kone will keep Valtra and make them even bigger than they are now. Why let Deere have all the gravy?
Remember also that JD is having $$$ problems, while Valtra is making money, and expanding market share world wide year-in,year-out!!

Exactly, Valtra seem healthy, an ideal addition to the family. Lately Deere hasn't been just muscleing in and totally integrating their new buy's. Kemper, Timberjack, Cameco and Vapormatic have all remained in their respected fields and colours. Did read somewhere they ain't too happy with US farmers importing Camecos though. If Valtra were bought they would get the benefits of cheaper components through greater buying power.
I'm just saying it might not be that bad!

Surprisingly, big ones like CNH, Agco, JD are making debts, small individuals like Valtra, Lindner are making profits and expanding market share by 10% every year.
The mergers arent that successful, it seems.
...Wait till the new Forterra is out... Zetor will join those last two. Dutch dealers already see an increase of sales for the Super models, with the Forterra they will strengthen their position.
IF Valtra joins Deere, would they use Deere/Funk powershift trannies? The S series 8,4 liter engine can also do 300 hp, like the 8.3 Deere.
