Again Gentlemen, Here's a thought:
(Perhaps this should really be posted under support and remarks, but I'll let the administrator do what he wants with it)
Let me start by stating that this is definately my favorite place on the internet for this type of discussion. However we are all aware that there are other board similar to this (profi, @g-online, fwi etc.) and I understand quite a few us also frequent other boards. I however now do so less and less, due to lack of time and other reasons, This saves me time of course, but since I am by nature an information-junkie I sometimes worry that I might miss something.
Perhaps this website might intruduce an organized briefing of what goes on at other boards. For example once weelky, a dedicated user would summarize to us all what have been the hot and interesting topics at some forum to the rest of us.
Of course I mainly propose this since I am, beacuse such is man, a lazy creature who enjoys information being served to me in the simplest way possible, rather than to go hunt for it. Perhaps there are also some legal copyright issues to be considered. But anyway, here's the Idea. What are your thought?

Good idea Laapa,
Our 'silly season' will be starting here around the 15th July. From then on until October I will find it very difficult to get on on-line let alone come onto all the different mach boards.

Fully agree with Laapa there. When I started to look into this board I was an every day user of the profi-board. Now I´m addicted to this one! At profi the posters themselves even state that it´s more or less kindergarten now. Quite frequently they are critisizing each other for not delivering serious postings. I find that sad because in the beginning it was very serious. Me for one could often find very useful information about both the brands I sell myself and all other brands. For example I often felt strengthened in my belief in the Kuhn-quality whenever someone asked about experiences with these machines and always got a lot of answers. Now there is more and more of the silly war going on between the Deeroids and the Fendtoids. So, finally getting to the point here, it also think it would be a great idea. It surely would save us all a bundle of time!

Hey HPP,
To come up with language jokes and differences once again: The name Fendt sounds like 'vent' in Dutch. A 'vent' is translated with 'guy' or so. If you add one character to the word 'Deere', it makes 'deerne'. Thats slang for girl, or lady.
So, when we talk about Fendt and Deeres, it's like we talk about guys and girls.

Yes this board is addictive ;D
Others are only a war like this: -my tractor is the best -no mine is better -no my tractor is the beast -yes yes but mine have flowers
help!!!!!!!!!!!!
In one french board, is a battle between people who love french tractors and people who has more alternatives.
I think the selective people that post message and his correction, with the right direction of the MASTER is the clue of this friendly set.

I too, am hooked on this board.
Good idea Laapa, how about you being our roving reporter? You can report anything of importance to us.
Say Lee, I noticed you have posted on FWI. By chance you wouldn't know the person that goes by the name, hillsupfront? I have always wondered how big the hills were.
There is another board that I visit often as well, zetorworld. Someone has to keep an eye on Renze. Just kidding, Renze is teaching me Zetor and ZTS. You might say I am getting my zzz's.

Hey Kenjar
I would gladly report on other boards, but Peaharvestingseason starts for real now and my time to visit the Net will be rather scarse.
My idea was initially that those who ALREADY are part of other boards might just brief us on the activity. In the past, more than right now, there have been several references to other boards. I think it would be asking too much of any of us to do the exra work of following other boards daily just so we won't have to. However if a person was already involved with another board, the extra effort might be neglectible in comparison to the joy of bringing us information for nothing (hmmmm... remember extra posts means extra stars&stauts here).
Currently this is the only board I check out regularly where there is actually some "action", I might report machinery-news from swedish ag-magazines for you, but they usually inculde little of what is not already known here, not really worth doing a weekly briefing.

Kenjar,
Sorry I dont know who 'Hillsupfront' is on the fwi board. That board is getting more boring by the day. Most people post to complain not for advice.
I have stopped posting for advice but will still post an answer to try to help somebody.
You have to be careful on there as some of the people in their are spies! using nickname's. Although I am sure the same goes on everywhere.
I know there are a few dealers that use this site under alias names!

Just having some fun with you Laapa. I checked the harvesting board today. There was mention of a Lexion rotary and a NH CX 890. Maybe the Boss may know more. Did find a site in progess on the Versatile 4WDs while I was there. versatile-tractors.com

The lexion rotary is badged as the 470 and 480 over here in England.
There is also supposed to be a 500 out there on tests in Yorkshire last summer. It was badged as a 480 but I know one of the guys that work there and he said it was outperforming the farms own 480 easily.
I would of thought it should make an appearance for 2003 harvest.

Lee, they were talking about a model 490 Lexion. It is supposed to be a single rotor machine like the CIH axial-flow. Someone mentioned that it is patterned after the Italian Firefox. www.rossoint.com/

I agree with you all, this is a cracking site, with genuine people and posts. As I am a machnery dealer, as I hope you all know, I find it refreshing to meet people who are not blinkered by colour or brand, all brands have their good and bad points, and it helps me to find these out for my products, and others. Cheers Simon
******Warning Blatant Plug****** (by the way we have a demo on 26th July near Sleaford UK where we have been promised 3 MXM tractors so if anyone wants to see them come along>

Kinda coincidential, but I sent an email to the BOSS last week saying how good this website is - it truly is.
I find that we have an equal amount of people from North America and Europe on here. And we learn so much from each other too. That is the beauty of this website.
In all honesty, I wouldn't be making a big advertisement about this website - you'll quickly get the arrogant color bashers on here. The way things are right now, its perfect.
You are right, this is the best discussion board going. I'd say that 90% of the posts are relevant, and 0% are blatant attacks on someone else. Where else are there statistics like that?
As for Laapa's idea - I'll let you know if I come across something interesting, like we do with the Farmphoto website - that site brings along a lot of good discussion to here. Maybe MR AGMACHINERY and MR FARMPHOTO.COM can hook up or something??? Just an idea...
