Hi everyone, after some opinions on the vaderstad carrier and biodrill. What other implements on the market are as versatile as the carrier as in being able to add and remove attachments such as disc's, leveling boards, finger tines etc. I am very interested in one of these but would love to hear other peoples opinions experiences Thanks

Kiwi,
The vaderstad carrier is neither versatile or a good tool in my opinion. We bought a 6.5m version because we had a good demo on osr stubbles. Put it onto a cereal stubble and it will not consolidate properly. The problem with it is that its not heavy enough. Also the discs are not aggressive enough when it comes to lumps of straw, but generally on chopped straw full stop. We kept it for a total of about 12 weeks before selling it on. Luckily we did not loose any money on it as we bought it as an ex demo machine, so managed to sell it on for the same money. I have now got a Simba X-press because the vaderstad dealer was not interested in helping us out of it. The x-press is a much better tool and consolidates brilliantly.

I have also experience of both Carrier and Simba X-Press. I also like more X-Press,for same reasons as quest like.
It's also possible install seeding unit like biodrill to X-press.
