In this weeks Ontario Farmer, there is an ad from a CIH dealer saying that they will have the first JX90U in Eastern Ontario by July 1st. They go on to say the JXU series will be 80,90,100.
I guess the JXU series is a badge-engineered TS? I sure hope they moved the exhaust to the A-pillar this time around!!

Hello Woodbeef.
I have been told that the Case "Ts" will be called MXU, and the Tm`s MXM, but then again it all seems pretty hard to keep counting all that models, in different colors. Sometimes I wish we were back in the good old 80"s where a blue tractor was a real Ford, and not a parttime Fiatagri or even a Case.....

Hey Jesper,
Ya,I agree with you there, back to the days before shared platforms,eh!!
At least the TS and TM no matter what color or by which name are still old Ford designs!! I'm just wondering if we'll be seeing them in red/white/and gray also?
From the hp ratings of the JXU tractors I'd say they are badge-engineered TS. Not sure though nowadays.

Are you sure the TM is an original Ford design??
I dont know if Ford has developed those 6-speed powershifts. I think it is a new NH design, if not it would be more like a Fiat design.

You may be right Renze. Someone posted on another board that the TM and prior 60 series had a Fiat/NH designed powertrain. I really never compared the TM's to the old 40 series. Woodbeef, might not the JX be a red version of the TL's. I beleive they have simliar horsepower ratings. Jesper, you are right, things were less complicated back in the 80's.

Hey Kenjar,
To tell you the truth its hard to say for sure, which is going to be which in these darn shared platform thingies!!
The ad only mentioned the JXU in 100 hp and under then the MXM for 120,and up.
I do believe that the TMs were already in the pipline just like the TS prior to the Fiat buy-out. could be wrong though also.

The New Holland Fiatagri M/ Ford 60 Series were based on the Ford 40 Series, 70 Series and Fiat Winner Series. The 7.5 litre engines came from the G/70 Series, the Shuttle Command transmissions from the Fiat Winner, the hydraulic system was based either on a Fiat based open-centre system or the 40 Series closed-centre one. The cab frame is the one first introduced for the 40 Series and also seen in the 70 Series, although the three cab interiors are different.

Does anyone of you "PRO" tractorpeople know if the new platformshared Magnums and TG`s both will come with the SuperSteer, or will it be only for the New Holland models?. I think the only true Ford tractors left today are the Ts, simply because the are redesigned 40 series. The old Ford 30 series (the small onces) 3130, 3630, 4130 and 4630 are still made in India, I even think that the were sold as Ford until 2001, where NH was no more allowed to use the Ford brandname. The 70 series are almost 100% Ford, just look at the engine, gearbox etc, you dont find nothing more than the Fiat name on the handbrake!. The 60/M series and the Tm are both Ford/Fiat, as the engines are the 7,5 litre Powerstar, but the backend is just like the Winner series from Fiat. The elecktronic draft control is similar to the ones used in the winner series but uses Bosch systems instead of Magnet Marelli.

Hey Jesper,
Only the TG will have SS.It will also have a longer, flater, wider frame to accomodate the SS components, and the engine that goes straight into the driveline. The Magums engine sits about 6 inches above the center line.
At the moment they still can not get the SS to turn sharper than the Magnum(go figure,eh)

The first new Case IH common platform tractors are out. The new tractors are the JX, AVJ and VJ series of 55 to 95 hp. As far as I could find out they are built in Turkey and are already for sale in South Africa. The JX is based on the NH Fiat 88-series while the AVJ series is based on the 56 series and the VJ on the 66 series. You can find out more details at 195.87.28.180/english/prod02.htm

O.K. I just saw a newspaper picture of the JX80U. It is definately a red TL. It has the same exhaust, but hood line looks a bit different(kinda hard to say for sure from the crappy picture). I'll see if the local CIH dealer has any info this week.
Hey New Hollander,
Interesting that they are offering so many different series of CIH tractors in so many different markets. It would make for some lower speced economy models though if they ever made it over here!!
