Tatra is taken over by Terex construction machinery. The versions for the U.S. Army will have a Detroit or Cummins engine, and sold under names Terex, American Truck, and Tatra.

Yes, the U.S. Army will ride a truck of their former "red" enemy... They hired those trucks from the Saudi's in the Gulf War, and took a few of them over to the states for testing.

Renze, we have 4 Tatra 813 here in England, they are awsome off-road, V12 air cooled engine lots of power, just point them at an object, and it goes over.

I am looking for a sevice manual in English if you Know where one is

p.s. The 813 is not the one for the U.S. Army, the U.S. will use the 815 and 816 (with engines to 840 hp and max. trailer load 120 ton.)

Hi Simon,

I dont have one, but where can i get one?? and what is the value of a T813?? somebody tried to sell one to me for 15,000 Euro, but that's too much for a used truck from late sixties, i think.

We want to buy one for corn silage transport.
(we have quite wet autumns in the Netherlands..)
