Just read a review of the 8450 Hi-Tech II in the Irish Farmers Journal and I'm amazed at some of the features it has.
The one that really grabbed me is the AUTO N facility which disengages the drive when the brakes are pressed and re-engages when the brakes are released. I can see this being of huge benefit for loader work or buckraking silage.
A little left-foot-braking (per Mika Hakkinen) and you have the throttle boot free to get best efficiency out of the hydraulics.
The clutch can also be operated from switches on both gearlevers. The 3-speed powershift up and down switches live on both gearlevers also.
All in, the article only had good things to say about it, but it didn't really do a proper comparison with competitors.

Competition........what competition??? Ahh.....see what I've been trying to tell you guys,if you'd only listen!! Of course I'd never say I told ya so!!
Seriously though,I'm a little surprised that they did not test the EcoPower 8350 HITech 2.0 instead. Did the tractor happen to have Twin-Trac? Those HiTechs just keep on getting slicker, and slicker!!
