O.K. now has anyone heard or seen anything of the new Valtras smaller than the S series?
If so how much of the S has trickled down?
What are they going to replace?

Hey Arno,
Are you sure about VdB and the Mezzo? I've heard its going to be the Scantrac design still but with the Mezzo cab. They might build the Mega there though.

Are the Finns really still using the Mezzo-name?
I checked my bible, TraktorKalendern (see the book review forum) vol.5&6: The following tractors have "names", starting 1990:
Valmet 6100 Mezzo (3 cyl. 51 PTO kW) Valmet 6300 Mezzo (4 cyl. 55 kW) Valmet 6400 Mezzo (4 cyl. 62.5 kW) Valmet 6600 Mezzo (4 cyl. 70 kW) Valmet 8000 Mezzo (6 cyl. 65 kW) Valmet 8100 Mezzo (6 cyl. 78 kW) Valmet 8300 Mega (6 cyl. 88 kW, made in France) Valmet 8400 Mezzo (6cyl. 92 kW) Valmet 8600 Mega (6cyl. 110 kW, made in France)
At this time it seems all Finn-made Valmets were called Mezzo, and those made by the AGCO-factory in France MEGA. With the intriduction of the 8050-series the names reappear as:
100- series (60-90 hp 600,700,800,900) Mezzo-series (80-115 hp 6200,6300,6400,6800) Mega-series (110-160 hp 8050,8150,8450,8550) HiTech-series (80-200hp 6250,6350,6550,6850,8050,8150,8350,8450,8950)
In other words, Mezzo refers to the 6000-series.
Hey Lee, looks like you'll outnumber me in osts anyday now. Congratulations. Your place looked nice in Profi by the way.

Hey Lee,
As Laapa said the Mezzo line is basically the 4 cyl 6200,6300,6400,6600,6800. It did also contain the 8000,and larger Finnish built tractors until the 8050 on up Mega line came along.
Hey Laapa,just keep on posting!!!!
