Anyone have any photos of the prototype Laverda combines? I beleive they were on display at the Agritechnica Show. One was on this months cover of Implement & Tractor. It has a NH CX series style look to it. 8)

I saw that picture on the Implement and Tractor internet site after I finally figured I had to scroll down the blank page and didn't know what make it was. Could it be basically a CX built in Belgium painted in Laverda colors for sale by Landini or does anyone know if it is to be produced in Italy?

I thought that the old old laverda combines (1985ish) were lost in the atmosphere when Fiat bought them. The they got lost again when fiat bought NH and then they got lost even more when Case joined in.
However I also have seen the same picture and I thought it was a TX series NH in Laverda colours and you get th esame thing also in Case colours now!
I wish the maufacturers would all stay separate cause its causing confusion in here

The new Laverda combines are built in Italy in the former New Holland (former Laverda) factory. As you all know Laverda is now owned by Argo. The same Argo that owns Landini, McCormick and Valpadana. The new combines look a lot like the CX combines from New Holland. Well, it has the same curves as the CX. That is not so strange. Designers from the old Laverda did work for New Holland before the CNH thing came around the bend. Some of those designers are now working for Laverda again. And as far as i know, the combines are not prototypes. They will be sold this year.

So is it going to be laverda everywhere apart from the UK where it will be McCormick?
Talking about McCormick - I had a look at one th eother day at an open day. Quite good and I like the new gearbox thing that there calling 'The multi-function controller'.
It gives the old Case MX gearbox a more up to date feel and look, with auto shifting etc.
Nice machines and are apparently selling very well here in England.
