Has anyone had problems with JD head gaskets. Our 1995 6600 had it go at 2000hours and my uncles who has a sister tractor his went at similar hours, I have also heard similar age machines giving head trouble. The thing is it has just blown its second at 6500hours doing bugger all.
We also have a NH 7840 which does a similar amount of work and although it gives niggling trouble it has not had major mechanical problems. Apart from a gearbox cog dropping but I am blaming my dad and every other muppet who is let drive it. Any answers Lee
