Everybody,
I think we sold the MX270 at the right time as over the last week or so for some reason the bigger MX residual values have plumeted.
We sold ours for £44,000 with 400hrs on the clock and it had every optional extra bar heated seat, front linkage and Pick up Hitch. We had oversized tyres etc etc.
However this week has seen the same model with same hours on it etc go for less than £35,000. I thought this might be a one off but I have a dealer friend who says he has been inundated with farmers trying to get rid of MX 240 - 270 tractors.
Whats going on cause as far as I am concerned I think they are a good machine, even though we changed ours for tracks, but that was a track vs wheel thing more than anything else.

Could it be they are trying to dump them while they are still current models, instead of after the new ones are built this summer?
If there are any left overs around once the new ones are out, that would cause quite a price drop intially. So maybe some are trying to beat the big drop in price.

So that scould mean then that the new ones will defiantely be out this summer!
Everybody is worried. Although sale yesterday I saw a 1999 MX 240 - 1600 hrs, full spec go for £35,000 although it had just had £4,000 worth of new oversized tyres put on it. So really the tractor sold for £31,000. If you think about it that 250+hp for £30,000!!!! Thats cheap horse power
Also at the sale was a 1998 7230 pro, 2180 hrs which sold for £25,000
A 2000 6 metre vaderstad rapid drill which sold for £25,000
Sale prices overall seem quite good over here at the moment
