Looking at the latest issue of Claas Vision there is an article on the Jaguar. It states the Jaguar 900 set a world record,2058 tons of silage chopped in 12 hours.Quite abit of silage! I noticed on the Krone webpage that the Big M set two world records. It mowed 778.6 acres in a 24 hour period, that's one. The other record was 37.6 acres cut in one hour. It must have been moving to cover that much ground.

I always find the world plowing record to be a bit fishy. I think the speed is way too fast. The depth makes sense, but the soil must have been something like ash. I saw the video, and he was just flying through the field. And those huge headlands didn't hurt either.
I don't know, but these world records aren't much "real world" records.

A lot of them have about as much to to with everyday farming as a 5000hp tractorpuller.
But Hey, what world record (any category) is "real life" anyway?
What other agmachineworldrecord are there?
Plowing in 24 h: 207 ha (CaseIH, GregorieBesson) Forageharvesting in 12 h: 2058 tonnes (Claas) Mowing in 1 h: 36.7 ac, 24 h: 778 ac (Krone) Seeding in 24 h: 377 ha (Lemken) I read somewhere the Lexion 480 had some sort of world combining record when introduced.
Can't think of anymore right now. Any suggestions? It seems often the manufacturers make special categories to suite their implements.
