There was a 2wd Steiger prototype once upon a time. Steered like a convventional rear-wheel driive tractor. I think it is somewhere at www.toytractorshow.com Steiger history page.

Before Steiger was owned by CIH, I saw one when they first came out on the Wildcat or Bearcat. I can't remember very well, but they looked just like the regular Steiger of that size except upon close inspection you could see the front axle was connected to a fifth wheel type assembly, a little like a semi or articulated truck trailer is connected to the tractor part of the truck, allowing a small amount of axle swivel for aligning with rows while the articulation joint stayed stationary. When the tractor turned a sharp turn the frame articulation took over. I would guess from a short distance it would look like a standard Steiger.

Ye you are right, when i actually found out the full story. We are getting one one demo with 900 tyres right round and wait for it it's going on a four bed ridger and not a simba solo which everybody in the country seems to be going mad about. Thanks for your help.
