Seeing as though my e-mail is going mad about this I'd better put it down on paper, so to say.
Right reportedly back at my old university here in england (Harper Adams - http://www.haac.ac.uk), there was a pull off between a new STX Quadtrack and an British army tank. This came about because the uni had an open day for prospective students. There would be loads of machinery there as they have a big engineering dept and the army would be there because they sponsor some of the students through their time at Harper Adams.
Anyway at the end of the day when most of the visitors had gone home. They took the equipment into the soil hall (a big indoor shed with a soil floor - so machinery can be tested and used infront of the students - You know ' This is a plough and it does this job etc etc)
Anyway the guys who had the Quadtrack said to the army guys 'get a chain or 2 and the quaddy will pull the nuts off your tank' By this time apparently there was over 200 people back there and at least one video camera. So they were chained up and the flag was dropped. The quad driver dropped the clutch and it started to inch forward slowly.
Then the tank driver let rip and pulled the quadtrack backwards. The quadtrack began to bounce and eventually gave it up as a bad job. The tank won without breaking into a sweat but the driver forgot to mention to the quaddy lads that the tank was 500hp and weighed 50 tonnes compared to the 440hp and 18 tonnes of the quadtrack!
I do emphasise that this apparently happened - I am trying to get hold of a copy of the video.
