This could be interesting. Please state for what purpose you would mainly be using the machine. Tillage, forage etc.

Since I have no experience or use for a tractor that large to begin with,my ideas will be purely gleaned from my vivid imagination!!
I'd say that from what I've seen and heard a 2+2 tractor would be the most useful of the types. Especially if it was a Valtra S-series made into a X-series with Twin-Trac!!

I would say a MB-Trac type of tractor in a 50 or 60 km/hour version, if it was just as cheap as a normal MFWD. I would use it for transporting liquid manure over larger distances and applying it. Good view on the road, lots of traction, high speed

A Cat MT or Deere T series would be ideal. Getting the power to the ground and smooth ride would be nice, if you could afford either one.

Hi ya Kinda tough call to pick one from that line up ,JCB type for carting type jobs ..tool carrer kinda comes in ther too and maybe rowcrop work...track's for seeding ....2+2 and artic tractors both about the same just depends where ya want to sit ..crab steer good and maybe under rated by most ..MFWD almost standard set up for any tractor now ...if i could pick 2 it would be crab steer and MFWD but seeing it's only 1 i'd have to run with MFWD ...call me boring but it can do what most of the others can do as far as tractors go it's "the jack of all trades master of none " if ya ask 300+hp just doing tillage i'd go with crab or artic ... catch ya JD Kid

This would be nice: A reversible drivers postiont 200 hp tractor (Valtra S-series or Fendt will do for now) with AUTO-GUIDED STEERING. Such systems have been shown once in a while. Sensors track rows of beet etc. Should also be able to track the distance to a tillage pass. Last example I saw was the German PSR (by Reichshardt) on a 6010 series JD. This way the driver could be facing the implement, giving only minimum attention to the general direction of the self-guided Tractor. Headlandturns would have to be made manually.
just a thought.

If I rember correctly, was not Renault working on a driverless tractor of some sort?
I guess your idea could work if everything could communicate in the same universal language.

By now, who have NOT at one time or enother shown a driverless/autoguided tractor. Be it GPS-guided, imagesensors, programmed driving, laserpilot or whatever. What I propose is making actuall use of it. Facing forward while the machine does the steering would be nice, perhaps it might even in some cases give a slightly better result. However: Reversing the driversposition fully and have vision over the implement (perhaps just using a mirror for forward-vision and a small electronic steeringwheel for adjustments) would mean you could acctually make some use of the self-guidance! As long as the tractor still requires a driver for headlanturnings etc. there will otherwise be little use of such a system. The driver would have a perfect view over the implement, full acces to controll levers, no more turning backs. JD "Command-arm"s etc are good but being able to turn a full 180 degrees would change everything!

If the bling bling wasn't the thing thing, the tractor I would have is a NEW HOLLAND GENESIS 8970 with 18.4 - 42 duals and no front duals. 4 hydraulics, megaflow, loaded.
Why? Best transmission, nicest styling, simple, tough dependable tractor that I need.
I'd buy a Valtra next, but not taking away from the Sigma, I need the built in weight on my tractor for my jobs. I don't need add on weights.
The Magnum MX270's have too many tranny horror stories. The Deeres - I can't stand them. They're good tractors, but its just like choosing between a naked blond girl and a naked brunette girl - both are damn fine, but you got to make up your mind sometime.
