Hey Laapa,
Are you still out there, somewhere or what?
It's been awhile since I saw your name on a new posting!!
You did not go out and find a new dg to hang out at did you?
Or have you succumbed to the dreaded green diease already on us?

the 8520 T is coming down all the time you'll be pleased to know. a demo one is coming out to pit its self against the 75 e.
do you think theres going to be a comparison? or are we being unfair to all the deeriods around the world!

Hey Lee,
I do not think that our Nordic friend will succumb to the green religion!! He is much stronger than that!! Afterall he comes from the land of the Vikings, and Volvo-BM!! He also owns a 2+2,which is one thing that Deere has not gotten around to copying yet!! Plus he comes from the land of the ice & snow. We that live in those conditions tend to look at things for their usefulness not glamor I find!
Knowing Laapa,he is down there in Deereville royaly enjoying himself, totally at their expense. I do feel that he can keep his objectivity intact on this excursion, and bring back some secrets from behind the big green curtain for us all!! Besides they do not have any tour guides there I bet, that even come close to looking like a certain Nordic Tractor Puller,so how can he be swayed!!

Well guys, im back from being locked up in an underground cave beneath the Mannheim factory. Forced to chant: "Solid, Stable, Still John Deere" untill the glorious Deere-God carved in gold was pleased and made a jump.
Seriously, it was a great trip. JD kept us very well fed and entertained. The factories (Mannheim 6020-series-tractor factory, Drucksaal Cab factory, Zweibrucken Combine-tillage-telehandler factory and the sparepartscenter.) were all very impressive, not saying other factories aren't.
They did not give away much gossip or rumors, but I did find it interesting that when the CVT-trannys for 6020-series are delivered to the JD factory from ZF, they are actually labled "ZF STEYR".
I had a great time and i'm afraid I do feel a bit bias at the moment. Please let me know if it shows through. Hopefully it will wear of soon. However I seriously fear i will cath Green-fever againg come August when it is time for delivery of our 7710.
...solid...stable... must destroy all other colors..still JohnDeere...must make everything green...solid...stable...

Hey, welcome back. We all missed you as you can see. I'm still wondering about those CVT trannies. Did they say anything about the CVT's in the new 7020-series? If i am not mistaking, and man do i hope i'm not, those will be completely different to the ones from ZF/Steyr. Did they say anything about the introduction date of that new series?

As I understood it the 7010 CVT is a total JD product with no reference to ZF. I have not seen any cut-throughs or scematics but I suspect the general Idea will be the same as in all (more or less) hydro-mechanical CVT transmissions. No word on releasedate for 7020 series.
For rumors, they did kind of hint the JD 740 seeder (European market only, I think) might be available as a Combi-drill, capable of fertilizing and seeding at the same time.

Hey Laapa,
Glad to see you have re-surfaced once again. Was it hard to break away from the cult? Rember keep the green side down, now eh!
As for the ZF/Steyr stamp. ZF bought Steyr Powertrain awhile back. So this now makes them the owners of two different CVT trannies.
